Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone, established in 2012, is one of the major international cooperation platforms in Guangdong. In August 2012, the Services Zone is acknowledged in the “Joint Statement on Further Promotion of Two-way Investment” signed by Chinese Ministry of Commerce and German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs. It acts as the national platform for Sino-German cooperation in Southern China, the lighthouse project for linking German industrial service industry and the mega market of "Made in China". Secretariat of Sino-German Industrial City Alliance launched by Foshan locates here.

With the adjacency to Guangzhou South Railway Station, the largest rail hub in Southern China, as well as the integration of transportation advantages including airport, ports, highways and subways, the Services Zone enjoys convenient transportation.

Since its establishment, the Services Zone has built a beautiful and comfortable ecological environment with building a garden-style and ecological-type new urban area as its objective. With the contruction of soap city, green buildings, smart city and utility tunnel, the Services Zone became one of the “EU-China Urbanization Cooperation Demonstration Zone” in 2014 and was awarded the “Euro-China Green and Smart City Award” in 2015.

With the Newly-branded title: Sanlongwan High-end Innovation Cluster in 2019, the Services Zone strives to become a competitive platform in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBD), with intelligent manufacturing, bio-technology, education and research, exhibition as its core industry and development orientation.
